Wengen is an Alpine resort in the Bernese Highlands of Switzerland. It's at 1274 m above sea level, reached by cog railway and with no vehicle access, on the route up towards the Eiger and Jungfrau. Its permananent population is about 1300, which swells in summer to 5000 and in winter to 10,000. : P70 : P8
