New Profile Sharing Update
First update of 2026 brings social features
We've been receiving a whole load of requests recently about our social features. And this is fair, our sharing UI and functionality hadn't received any love for a long time. With our first update of 2026, we redid our sharing flow from the ground up, with a more modern and performant map, profile and stats sharing, and laying the groundwork for more features to come!
New Friend Map
We've revamped the UI of the shared map to feel more modern, stretch to the edges of your phone and fit in better with the rest of our redesigned UI. You'll now also see our modern Pin Details pop ups here, along with new ways to view where you vs. your friends have been
New Social Profiles
In our last major update, we introduced a new profile page with a bunch of different stats and visualizations. With this update, we're bringing this same profile to the sharing view. So you can now see your friends' stats, colored country map, and more.
Looking Forward
For us, a large part of this rewrite was focusing on what is yet to come. We laid the groundwork for a lot of social features with this update, like advanced privacy controls, trip links, and more!
