Introducing Animated Trips

Your map has always been a snapshot of where you have been: pins, and the story behind each destination. A couple years ago, we added trips to Pin Traveler, to allow you (and ourselves) to dive deeper into individual visits to each destination, because no two trip is the same.

With **Animated Trips** we are adding a new way to *watch* these experiences, not just see them on a static map. You can now see your trips as short form animated videos (in the ideal aspect ratios to post on social media, too) and visualize the path you take as you explore the world.

Timing, Controls, & More

We have different animations for different travel modes, cars drive on roads, planes fly on a globe, trains somewhere in between. For now, you only have a few knobs to control how long the overall animation takes, how big the lines drawn are, etc. We hope to expand these soon to allow you more granular control for each aspect of the animation.
