Trip Improvements, fixes, and more!
We have officially entered the holiday season! I hope all our American users had a wonderful thanksgiving, and I really hope everyone took advantage of our 25% off Black Friday Sale! (You may still have a couple days 😉)
With that out of the way, lets get to our update. This one is all about trips: We remade the "trip details" page, add a new features, and expanded the map view. We also fixed a few bugs here and there and made major improvements to our android app.
Trip redesign
We built a new details page for trips! Not only does this look much better, but it should also allow for all the extra features we have planned for the coming months. The new page has some improved animations, and supports much larger maps. We'll enrich the trip map much more in a following update (thinks photos, places, and more), so think of this as a little teaser!
We also redesigned the trip page with a three step process that we think is much more intuitive. Individual stops now have a dedicated added page of their own, so you can customize them in much more detail.
Trip Friends
you can now add friends to your trips and automatically share your trip details with anyone you add. (Your friends need to be people that you follow that also, follow you back) This is hopefully the first of many new trip features and should bring a whole new social dimension to your experience.
Trip photos
This has been one of the most highly requested features of this year. And it’s now out as an android exclusive (iOS release coming shortly). Premium uses cannot add as many photos as they would like to each stop of their trip. Which you'll then see in the trip details page. You can also choose to share your photos with the friends you’ve added to your trip.
Place Tap is Back!
An update to Google Maps broke our tap-to-search feature a month or so ago, which has been really frustrating. I’m very relieved to say that Google finally released a fix to this last week, and we’ve shipped it with our last update
Other improvements & Bug Fixes
We fixed a lot of broken things in the android app. Most importantly the follow button being broken.
there are not a couple more empty behaviors (especially in trips) that should better guide you to the correct actions and buttons
we fixed a lot of small quality of life issues like white spaces, small bottoms, and like. As always, please keep the reports coming!
